Ingredients:

  • ½ glass of sunflower oil
  • 1 medium-sized kolakas
  • ½ ground beef
  • 1 finely chopped large onion
  • ½ teaspoon thyme
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • 1 cup finely chopped parsley
  • 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
  • Salt / Pepper
  • Water
  • 1 large lemon

Note:  Wash the kolakas after cutting it. Wipe with a clean napkin. Washing negatively affects cooking.

Instructions:

Heat the oven at 200 degrees. Put the oil in a pan, fry the kolakas first and then the potatoes until it turns pink. Place the kolacas on a medium baking tray, and the potatoes on top. Then fry the minced meat and onion in the pan. Add the thyme, cumin, parsley, tomato paste and pepper. Add enough water and boil for 10 minutes. Pour the minced meat sauce over the previously prepared kolakas and potatoes. If necessary, add water to cover, close the lid and put in the oven. When the it begins to boil, squeeze 1 lemon and leave it to cook for an hour. Serve warm with bread, seasonal salad and yogurt.
